Hampstead Parochial is committed to supporting busy families through flexible wraparound care alongside a broad selection of popular after-school clubs. From physical activities like running and football to groups that sharpen problem-solving and strategic skills, our diverse programs foster teamwork, personal development, and critical thinking—helping every child develop into a well-rounded individual and live life in all its fullness.

Wrap-around Care

Breakfast Club

Our Breakfast Club provision, running from 8:00 am, provides a welcoming and supportive environment where children can start their school day in a positive and nutritious way. Offering a variety of healthy breakfast options, the club ensures that all children are well-nourished before their lessons begin. During this time, children not only enjoy their breakfast but also have the opportunity to socialise with peers from their own year group and others, fostering a sense of community and friendship. This inclusive provision caters to the needs of all students, providing a safe and caring space to support their well-being and development.

After School Fun Club

Our Fun and Leisure Club provision, running from 3:45 pm to 6:00 pm, is a popular and highly valued service at Hampstead Parochial. After a busy school day, children have the opportunity to unwind, socialise, or relax in a safe and caring environment. Many enjoy spending time in the Leisure Club garden, playing with friends or engaging in quiet activities such as reading, colouring, or exploring a variety of games and crafts. What sets our club apart is that both the Breakfast Club and Fun and Leisure Club are led by our dedicated Hampstead Parochial staff, ensuring the highest level of pastoral care for all children. This continuity of care supports children’s well-being and helps them feel secure and nurtured throughout the day.

Outside Providers

Music

Our vibrant music program is led by a brilliant specialist teacher who guides three distinct groups: Funky Strings, Funky Choir, and Funky Ensemble. These clubs give children the opportunity to practice and collaborate within a group setting, refining their musicality while preparing for exciting performances in front of the whole school. Through regular group practice and live stage experience, students build poise, musical competence, and lasting self-confidence in a supportive, creative environment.

Art + Design

Our creative arts curriculum is enriched through expert-led sessions and specialist workshops that inspire students to explore a wide range of visual mediums. From fine art fundamentals in Sketch It to hands-on creation in Textiles and Fashion, Junk Modelling, and Sculpture, these clubs encourage imaginative expression and technical skill development. By working with specialized arts instructors, children are empowered to experiment with diverse textures, forms, and materials in a supportive environment that nurtures their artistic confidence.

Sports

To ensure high-quality coaching and diverse physical opportunities, we partner with specialized specialist providers across our sports offerings. Professional coaching from Bloomsbury Football delivers dynamic, skill-building sessions for both boys and girls, while specialist partners such as Regal Ballet introduce students to poise and technique. Alongside these expert-led programs, our sports roster includes tennis, running club, and multi-sports sessions. Together, these expert partners help instil confidence, healthy habits, and a lifelong passion for movement in every child.

Chess

Building on a strong legacy of success, our chess team regularly represents the school at regional and national events, including EPSCA tournaments and the National Chess Championships, where our pupils have proudly earned national championship titles. Led by an expert chess coach, our dedicated Chess Club offers students a rich environment to master strategic thinking, logical reasoning, and forward planning. Beyond learning opening theories and tactical gameplay, children practice patience and sportsmanship as they challenge their peers in friendly matches and competitive tournaments—building the confidence to solve complex problems thoughtfully both on and off the board.

Coding

Our Coding Club is structured across two distinct groups—one for Key Stage 1 and another for Key Stage 2—allowing students to build and expand their technical knowledge as they progress through the school. Under expert guidance, younger pupils develop foundational computational thinking and problem-solving skills, while older students tackle more advanced programming concepts, algorithm design, and interactive projects. By working through hands-on coding challenges, children gain digital confidence, logical reasoning abilities, and a strong foundation for the technology-driven world.

Language and Expression

Our Language & Expression clubs provide dedicated space for children to communicate, perform, and find quiet reflection. Led by specialist leaders, Spanish Club introduces pupils to conversational language and cultural awareness through engaging, interactive activities, while Drama Club builds public speaking confidence, imagination, and performance skills through stagecraft and storytelling. Complementing these active outlets, our Creative Calm Club offers a gentler pace where students practice mindfulness, colouring, and quiet reflection—ensuring every child has an avenue to express themselves, unwind, and develop emotional well-being.
