Collective Worship

Collective Worship at Hampstead Parochial Primary School plays an essential role in bringing the school community together. These gatherings offer an opportunity for reflection, prayer, and gratitude, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose. Students, teachers, and staff come together to explore themes of faith, kindness, and personal growth, while also celebrating achievements and special occasions.

Class Worship

Class Worship occurs weekly in each classroom, providing students with a more intimate setting for reflection on the “Big Question” of the week. These sessions encourage thoughtful discussion, questions, and personal connection to scripture, deepening students’ understanding of their faith and fostering empathy and moral development.

Prayer

Prayer is an integral part of daily life at Hampstead Parochial. During Collective Worship, students recite the Lord’s Prayer and the school prayer, grounding them in their spiritual practice. Themed prayers, centred around our core Christian values, encourage reflection on themes such as kindness, respect, and love. Each half term, children write their own prayers, which are displayed in the class prayer book. A lunchtime prayer also reminds students to be grateful for their food and to show respect for others in the wider community.
