Music at Hampstead Parochial School
At Hampstead Parochial School, we offer a vibrant and diverse music program, providing students with various opportunities to develop their musical talents.
Orchestra Ensemble Group
Our Orchestra Ensemble Group is open to students who play a variety of instruments, including violins, guitars, and percussion. This group not only helps children improve their instrumental skills but also introduces them to the world of body percussion, enabling them to explore rhythm and movement. Through teamwork, composition, and performance, students gain a deeper appreciation for music and collaboration, performing for one another and building confidence as they grow as musicians.
Choir
We also have a school choir, designed to inspire a love of singing and performing. Our choir allows students to express themselves through vocal music, building their skills in harmony and stage presence. Every two years, our choir has the incredible opportunity to participate in the Camden Schools Music Festival, where they join other local schools to perform at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall. This unforgettable experience allows our students to showcase their talents in one of the world’s most famous music venues.
Music Program
Our music program is designed to foster creativity, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation for music, aligning with our curriculum drivers of creativity, growth, and global citizenship. Through engaging in musical activities, students are encouraged to think imaginatively, work collaboratively, and develop confidence in their abilities. The program nurtures personal growth by helping students build resilience and perseverance, while also promoting a sense of global citizenship by connecting them to wider musical communities, such as through performances at the Royal Albert Hall and collaboration with local schools.
